Located at No. 5่™Ÿ, Lane 130, Tianmu W Rd, this izakaya brings a warm, rustic vibe, with a menu designed to satisfy even the most discerning food lovers.

The focus of this restaurant is on yakitori - skewered, grilled chicken thatโ€™s tender on the inside with a perfect smoky char on the outside. Each bite is packed with rich flavors that highlight the high-quality ingredients used in every dish. Whether you're a fan of classic chicken yakitori or prefer a mix of savory options like vegetables, mushrooms, or beef, Miso Yakitori Izakaya excels in presenting these simple dishes with excellence.

The menu is well-curated, featuring a variety of grilled skewers, which are the heart and soul of the dining experience. The yakitori is cooked over an open flame, with each skewer thoughtfully seasoned to perfection. One standout is the miso-glazed chicken, which is marinated in a rich and savory miso sauce, creating a perfect balance of umami flavors that melt in your mouth. Another customer favorite is the tsukune, a juicy chicken meatball thatโ€™s crispy on the outside but remains tender inside. These signature skewers are complemented by sides such as freshly made rice, tangy pickles, and crisp salads that add texture and depth to the meal.

But itโ€™s not just the food that draws people to Miso Yakitori Izakaya; itโ€™s the experience itself. The ambiance of the restaurant is simple yet inviting, with wooden beams and traditional decor that gives it a rustic charm. Itโ€™s the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a long, leisurely meal with friends or family. The attentive service further enhances the experience, as the staff is always ready to offer recommendations or assist in choosing the perfect drink to pair with your meal.

For those new to izakayas or wanting to dive deeper into Japanese cuisine, Miso Yakitori Izakaya also serves a range of traditional drinks, including refreshing Japanese beers and the much-loved sake, which perfectly complements the rich flavors of the grilled dishes. The drink menu is carefully selected, offering both local and international options, making it easy to find the right pairing for any dish.

The restaurant is well-known not only for its food but also for its location. Situated in the peaceful, picturesque Beitou District, it offers a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Taipeiโ€™s downtown. After a fulfilling meal, you can take a leisurely stroll around the area, known for its hot springs and tranquil parks.

Like the food and the restaurant vibe. Price is decent. Indoor area is quite small, space between tables are tight.

Great selection of small plates. No English menu was available but a waitress with excellent English talked us through their most popular dishes. Best part is that it is just around the corner from our apartment! We will certainly visit this place again.

One of my favorite izakayas. This one is clean and more open-air. Food is prepared with care. We did not encounter a thing we disliked. I would definitely recommend placing a reservation.

Really enjoyed this place. A good selection of delicious meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Menu in Chinese and English. The host (Amanda) is cheerful and speaks very well English.

Our go to place. Cozy, friendly, easy-going. Good food. Grilled tofu and the Oolong noodles with kimchi are particular favorites. They now have an English menu.
